Elecraft lineup – K1, K2, XV50, KX1.
Introduction
Some years ago, I was lucky in buying ready build Elecraft transceivers. In fact I was able to buy not only the K1 and K2, but also the XV50 (6 meter transverter) and the KX1 portable CW transceiver.
In this subsection of my homepage I would like to point you to interesting information regarding the Elecraft transceivers and provide you with some usefull links I found on the web. *Note: I own the K2 still as being my main rig. The rest has been sold again to make other people happy*

I use the KX1 together with a Buddistick very often, as my profession dictates to be a frequent traveller. But also on a holiday to the Caribbean I took the KX1 with me. You can find a special page describing that here.
Magic band
The Elecraft K2 transceivers can be used in conjunction with home brew or commercial transverters. In fact Electraft does have a complete line of transverters for 50, 144, 220 and 430 MHz. I could ‘organise’ a XV50 from a Belgium HAM which was already build under professional curcumstances. My K2 does contain the K60XV 60M and Transverter module and with minimal power from the K2, I can produce a comfortable 35 Watts on the magic band.
